Şehit Mehmet Şengül Fen Lisesi / Martry Mehmet Şengül Science High School

Our school which is located in a beautiful rural village of Çukurhisar , situated 18 km far away from the city center of Eskişehir. Eskişehir is a city in the northwestern part of the Central Anatolia in Turkey. The city is home to about 850,000 people and two of Turkey’s biggest universities—Anadolu University and Eskişehir Osmangazi University—therefore the city is widely nicknamed as "students’ city" in Turkey. The name Eskişehir translates to "the old city" in Turkish, a fitting name as the city fully embraces modern life while still maintaining a sense of tradition and ancient values.

As a Science High School, we offer a full range of educational opportunities for students from 15-18 years. We are conducting so many science projects and participating competitions, conferences, seminars, workshops. Step is one of the international  projects that we are involved in as a partner.

We founded school STEM social  club , developed a programme and started the activities that are based on Project-based learning. With this programme we aim to develop independent thinking, scientific investigation and creative problem solving. Our students investigate environmental issues relating to water, plastic, electricity and paper use and try to find out resolutions by using STEM approach.
